The School's health centre
The Health Centre is an integral part of the Christ’s Hospital
community, providing both medical and emotional care to all the pupils.
It is staffed by three full-time qualified nurses and we have a driver
to take pupils to medical appointments outside the school.
The Health Centre is well supported by a local Doctor’s Practice
and a G.P comes each morning to hold a surgery for pupils.
A local dentist and orthodontist visit the Health Centre twice weekly,
a physiotherapist weekly.
The Health Centre nurses offer a variety of special clinics including,
asthma, growth and dietary advice and a vaccination programme including
routine and travel health.
There are 15 beds for those who are not well enough to attend school
or stay in their own boarding houses.
We work in close conjunction with the Matrons, who are on call 24
hours a day in the Boarding Houses. They are often the first port-of-call
for pupils not feeling well and look after their everyday health
requirements.
If you require any further information or have any queries please
do not hesitate to email
the Health Centre Manager.
