Wests' Gifts

AN EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AT CHRIST'S HOSPITAL

Some important facts about the Wests' Gifts Charity:

To be eligible for a Wests' Gift place, at least one of the following must apply:

1. The child resides in the Borough of Reading, ancient Borough of Newbury (including Thatcham and Hungerford) and ancient Parish of Twickenham (adjacent parishes may be eligible, depending on demand for places) and has lived in this Borough for at least one year.
   
2. The child is the daughter of a parent who is or was employed by the City of London (one place in the School only).
   
3. The child is related to John and Frances West as registered on the family pedigree kept at Christ's Hospital.

Financial Contribution

Parents of children who enter the School as Wests' Gifts presentees are granted a 50% reduction of their financial contribution to the School, which itself is assessed according to family income on a sliding scale. Please note that when applying for a Wests' Gift place, there is an income limit, which changes annually.
