Building Projects: Securing the Site for the Future
Christ’s Hospital was moved from London to Horsham in 1902. Its stunning architecture is now an important part of our heritage and holds the status of a Grade II* Listed Site.
These buildings are now over 106 years old and many also include far older features which were carefully moved from the original London site to Horsham. However, the implications of their age were highlighted in a site-wide survey in 2005 which identified the need to undertake
a programme of essential restoration and repair to secure the fabric of the site for the future.
We now need to raise £23million to support a 10-year programme to refurbish, repair or restore our buildings, for example:
- The New Science School
- The Cricket Pavilions - for an easy way to give, please visit the Justgiving website.
- The Wren Façade and Main Gates
- The Music School
- The Library
- The Chapel
