International Students
We warmly welcome international students to Christ’s Hospital. Whilst proudly acknowledging its rich and historic traditions, within its magnificent grounds and buildings, Christ’s Hospital is very much a 21st Century School.
Our very strong academic base is ensured by excellent teaching and all boarding houses provide modern living spaces and ‘home from home’ comfortable amenities.

Settling In
Staff who act as a link between pupils and Christ’s Hospital are the Housemaster or Housemistress, as well as the international student co-ordinators.
New international students arrive the day before the rest of the School in September. This gives them the opportunity to meet their pupil mentors and to take part in an introductory programme of activities. If students are accompanied by their families, tours of the campus can be arranged as well as meetings with academic staff.
Keeping in Touch
There are a range of communication options for pupils and parents. Mobile phones can be used and there are pay 'phones in each boarding house. All boarding houses have networked computer rooms and Wi-Fi facility for lap tops. Email and Skype are also options.
Parents are kept in contact through regular academic progress reports, houseparent newsletters and a website forum. Relatives of international students are also welcome to visit by prior appointment.
Travelling to and from Christ’s Hospital
Access to Christ’s Hospital is convenient; just over an hour’s train journey from central London and easily accessible from the nearby historical town of Horsham and from London’s Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. The School organises Airport transfers for overseas students.
