Old Blues
Through
the centuries, ex-pupils of Christ's Hospital have made an impact in many spheres and current pupils can be inspired knowing they follow in such
influential footsteps.
James Hooper and Rob Gauntlett left Christ's Hospital in 2005, became the first British teenagers to climb Mount Everest in 2006 (pictured l-r at the summit with the Christ's Hospital flag) and - determined to draw attention to climate change issues - completed the first ever Pole-to-Pole journey using only human and natural power in 2008. Tragically Rob died in January 2009 in a climbing accident in the French Alps with fellow Old Blue and adventurer James Atkinson. Christ's Hospital is proud of their aspirations and attainments.
