Compliance Officer

Salary £50,000

To start 20th August

Required to take the lead in the planning, implementation and maintenance of arrangements for ensuring that the School is compliant with relevant legislation including, but not limited to: Independent Schools’ Inspectorate (ISI) regulatory requirements; National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools (NMS); child protection and safeguarding legislation; UK safety, health, environment and fire (SHEF) legislation; UK data protection legislation and UK copyright legislation. 

The Compliance Officer is also the School’s nominated Data Protection Officer.

Knowledge of above regulatory requirements is essential, as is practical experience of implementing them in a school or similar environment. Ideally you will already hold a relevant NEBOSH qualification (or be willing to train); and have a good working knowledge and understanding of Data Protection principles. You must be IT literate and comfortable with presenting briefings and presentations to a wide range of audiences.

Previous experience of working at senior management level in a UK independent school and an appreciation of charity/school governance are also desirable.
