Day Matron

We are currently recruiting for a Day Matron to join us from September 2018 to help look after up to 70 -85 girls and boys within the Grecians’ (6th Form) boarding house. Grecians are encouraged to become more independent and responsible as part of the transition from student life to life outside of school.  Duties include the organisation of pupils’ laundry and household linen; repairing uniforms; pastoral care duties; administrative tasks and the control and issue of proprietary medications and pupils’ epipens.

Sensitivity, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this important role.  The post operates mainly in term time although you will also be required to work an additional 3 days before the start and after the end of each term. 

This role is part of a job-share arrangement and the current vacancy is for the latter half of the week.  Working hours are from 12:45pm to 6pm Wednesday, 8am to 6pm Thursday and Friday, plus 8am to 1pm on alternate Saturdays.   Annual leave must be taken during school holidays only.
