Committed to challenging inequality and promoting social mobility through education, Christ’s Hospital School offers an independent boarding education of the highest calibre to children with academic potential from all walks of life. The School has been providing an unrivalled start and lifelong support for disadvantaged children for nearly five centuries.

Historic support from alumni throughout the world and the broader philanthropic community provides some 660 pupils (75% of the school) with bursaries. However, as economic and social inequality continue to grow, significant funding is now needed to enable Christ’s Hospital to leverage its historic pioneering position and drive societal change. The Campaign for Christ’s Hospital with a target of £40m will secure the School’s historic social, educational and philanthropic role both now and for the future, and enable disadvantaged children of today and tomorrow to thrive.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a significant track record of major gifts fundraising, including securing 6-figure level gifts and more. You will have the credibility, influence and talent in building high-level relationships to galvanise support for Christ’s Hospital. Your outstanding verbal and written skills ensure you can effectively communicate with the school’s key stakeholders and inspire those around you to help advance philanthropy at Christ’s Hospital.

Closing date for applications is midday 18th May 2017. Interviews will be held on 30th and 31st May.

Christ’s Hospital is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced disclosure application with the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).  More details on the disclosure process can be found on www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.
