up to 45.5 hours per week (33 weeks per year)
Christ’s Hospital’s library is positioned on the top floor of the new Language and Resource Centre (LARC) facility, with superb views over the school’s grounds on all sides. It houses the school’s main lending collection of printed resources to support curricular subjects and extra-curricular interests.
We are seeking to recruit a Library and Learning Resources Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the Library and oversee its development as a key component in the school’s teaching and learning environment. The successful candidate will hold a recognised library-related qualification and will have achieved or be working towards Chartered Membership of CILIP. Experience of managing a busy library, ideally within a school environment, is essential.
The role is term-time only plus up to 3 days at the end of each term/start of the new term. Some flexibility on days worked may be required. Hours of work are:
- 08:30 to 17:00 for 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 19.30 to 21.30 (to 22.00 during the summer term) on two of those days per week
- 08.30 - 12.50 on a Wednesday
- 08.30 – 12.30 on two out of three Saturdays
