Required for Easter 2018
We have a vacancy for a Matron’s Assistant to work 20 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 9-2pm during term time, plus 2-3 days at the beginning and end of each term.
The successful candidate will join a team headed by two resident Houseparents, House Tutors, Resident Matrons and Matrons’ Assistants to help look after approximately 90 pupils within the boarding house. Duties include the sorting, checking and repairing of pupils’ clothes and laundry; assisting the on-duty Matron with pastoral care duties and administering medication under supervision (for which training will be provided). You must be able to use a sewing machine.
Sensitivity, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this role.
