Museum Assistant (Documentation and Collections)
15 hours per week, worked Tuesdays and Thursdays
Christ’s Hospital has had a museum on its site at Horsham for over 20 years but its history goes back more than 460 years to its foundation by Edward V1 in the City of London in 1552. Over the centuries, CH has accumulated large collections of objects which relate to the school’s history, including manuscripts, paintings, china and countless pieces of ephemera with a CH connection.
We now require an experienced administrator, with an appreciation and understanding of historical collections to join our small team of Museum staff and volunteers.
Ideally you will have a relevant Humanities degree and have worked in an administrative capacity in a museum, art gallery or heritage sector role.
Normal working hours are 15 hours per week, worked Tuesdays and Thursdays.
