A level results

14 August 2025

Congratulations to Christ’s Hospital students on their A Level results.

We are delighted to congratulate Christ’s Hospital students on their exceptional A level results. These achievements are particularly meaningful given the challenges and adversity many of our students have faced. Their resilience and determination have led to outcomes that reflect not only academic excellence but also remarkable personal growth.

This year, nearly two-thirds of all grades were awarded at A*, A or B, with over half of those at A* or A. Christ’s Hospital students achieved an average of 133 UCAS points, equivalent to AAB – a testament to the hard work and ambition of our students.

From a cohort of 133 students, a total of 152 grades were awarded at A* or A, and over 80% of all grades were at C or above. At the very top end, nine students achieved at least three A* grades, with three students securing a clean sweep of four A* grades. Around 40% of the cohort achieved the equivalent of AAA or higher, highlighting the breadth of significant achievement across the year group.

Headline Figures:

  • A*-A: 36%
  • A*-B: 64%
  • A*-C: 83%
  • Pass rate: 98%

We are especially proud of the ten Christ’s Hospital students who have been accepted into Cambridge and Oxford to pursue courses in a wide variety of subjects including Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Linguistics and Music. Their success is matched by many others who have secured places on prestigious courses at top universities, including:

• Medicine at Imperial
• Psychology at Bristol
• Natural Sciences at Bath and UCL
• Law at Exeter and Warwick
• Politics and Sociology at Warwick
• Architecture at Manchester
• Electronic Engineering at King’s College London
• Mechanical Engineering at Bristol
• Marketing and Management at Exeter
• English Literature at Leeds
• Biochemistry at Imperial
• Archaeology at UCL
• Physics at Imperial
• Geography at Bristol
• Computer Science at Exeter

Out of the 116 students who chose to make an application through UCAS this year, 90% were able to take up their first-choice offer.

Incoming Head of Christ’s Hospital Matthew Judd commented, “These results reflect the strength of our academic provision and the unwavering support of the teaching staff here at Christ’s Hospital. Most importantly, they showcase the talent, perseverance, and ambition of our students. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”

There were three students, both current and former, who were successful in securing places to study Medicine this year. Many of our students were accepted onto courses at “higher tariff” universities, taking up places with prominent universities including Manchester, Kings College London, Leeds, Southampton, Exeter, Bristol, Durham, Warwick and University College London.

GCSE results

21 August 2025

Students and staff at Christ’s Hospital are celebrating another year of exceptional GCSE results – a proud moment for the whole school community. With over 1,450 entries across a broad curriculum, the results reflect not only academic excellence but also the resilience and determination of our students – many of whom have overcome significant challenges.

Highlights include

  • Over 500 grades at Level 8 or 9
  • 36% of all grades at Level 9–8, with more than half of those at Level 9
  • Almost 60% of grades at Level 7 or above, and three quarters at Level 6 or above
  • Nearly two thirds of students achieved at least five Level 7 grades or higher
  • 23 students achieved an average grade of Level 8 or above
  • An overall pass rate of 95%

As recent leaver Vieran reflected: ‘What stands out about CH is the environment. It seems nurturing and supportive. Other schools feel more pressured to be the best, but here it’s more about being your best, which I really value.’

Matthew Judd, incoming Head, added: ‘These results are a credit to the resilience, ambition and hard work of our students. They have risen to every challenge and should be immensely proud of what they’ve achieved.’

We wish all our Year 11 students the very best as they embark on their Sixth Form studies and continue to grow as confident, capable and compassionate young people. Congratulations to all on a remarkable set of results!
