The Gatwick Bursary Award

Christ’s Hospital is pleased to announce a Bursary Award for pupils entering the School from the Gatwick Area, for bright pupils from the Gatwick area with academic potential, who would benefit from an independent boarding school education, The Gatwick Bursary Award is now open for September 2024 entry.

Normally pupils enter Christ’s Hospital at Year 7, Year 9 or Sixth Form as boarders or day pupils. Occasionally, we can admit children at Year 8 or 10.

Simon Reid, Head Teacher of Christ’s Hospital, adds: “All candidates applying for a place will be assessed on their potential. Of the current 900 pupils at Christ’s Hospital, 662 pupils receive some level of fee assistance (bursary support), averaging out to 83% remission of fees. Of these 662, 118 pay no school fees whatsoever. Christ’s Hospital pupils are provided with uniforms, meals, accommodation plus all teaching and learning materials.

The closing date for applications for September 2025 entry into Year 7 & Year 9 is Friday, 13 September 2024.
