Drama Scholars’ Performance

To kick start the Summer Term, Drama Teacher Caroline Kelley directed the CH Drama scholars in a brilliant evening of theatre and song to celebrate the work of playwright Willy Russell.  The evening included performers from Second Form to Grecians who performed excerpts from Russell’s much loved back catalogue.  Scenes and songs from ‘Blood Brothers’ were performed alongside moments from ‘Our Day Out,’ ‘Stags and Hens,’ ‘Educating Rita’ and ‘Shirley Valentine.’  Scholars also directed scenes as well as organising and playing the music with Music Scholar Max performing the role of ‘MD’ for the evening.  The performance was a lovely intimate sharing of pupil work and raised over £100 for the Drama Department Charity, ‘Their Future Today.’
