Despite the unprecedented situation in which all IB examinations globally were cancelled, July still saw the IB pupils at Christ’s Hospital gain an impressive set of results.

With 57% of the pupils gaining 36 points or more out of maximum of 45 and 16% of all grades awarded being a Level 7. Almost two thirds of all grades achieved by the cohort were Level 6 or above. Over a third of the cohort of 28 pupils gained 38 points or more and the average points achieved by the IB cohort was 35.9 points out of 45, or 209 UCAS points (equivalent to A*, A*, A*, B at A2-Level).

Head Teacher, Mr Simon Reid commented: “I am extremely proud of all of our pupils given the strange circumstances, you worked extremely hard throughout your time at CH and should be incredibly proud of all your achievements.”

Many of the pupils achieved excellent results and are expected to take up places at prestigious institutions including three pupils who achieved their Oxford offers. There were some notable individual achievements and huge congratulations go to these students for their fantastic set of results:

Lottie Field, 42 points (PPE, Oxford)
Juliet Webber, 42 points (English Literature and Language, Oxford)
Helena Thornton, 41 points (Psychology, Bristol)
Lilith Weingarten, 40 points (HSS, Edinburgh)
Martha Sharp, 39 points (German and Arabic, Oxford)
Lucia Walsh, 39 points (Japanese, Durham)
