About CH
Overview
- Admissions
Old Blues Day will take place on Saturday 30th May, and not on Saturday 16th May as previously advertised. The ability for Old Blues to reconnect with CH, and each other, in their own time and in their own way is central to this signature event and, with new guidance requiring visitors to be accompanied on site during term time, moving Old Blues Day to the summer half term will allow Old Blues and their families to continue to explore the site freely and shape the day their way. This change also means we can offer a more extensive programme of activities for Old Blues Day, many of which have been requested by Old Blues in previous years. New activities in 2026 will include,
- A servery lunch in Dining Hall in addition to the opportunity to bring your own picnic
- A range of Old Blue sports matches on school pitches and courts
- More free access to different areas of selected Boarding Houses
- Re-introducing the Old Blue choir and a music ensemble
- Guest talks in a range of venues
- An early evening served dinner in Dining Hall which we hope many Old Blues and their families will stay for.
As the students will be away for half term, Band Parade will not take place on Old Blues Day. However, Band Parade can be witnessed throughout the year at reunions, events and on Old Blue Tours.
Further details of Old Blues Day will follow in the coming weeks on all Old Blue communication channels, and we hope that you will join us for what promises to be a truly special occasion.
