From CH to the BBC: Old Blue J.J. Arcanjo inspires pupils with Crookhaven series
We were delighted to welcome back Old Blue J.J. Arcanjo (MaA, GrE 03-10) to Christ’s Hospital!
Joel spoke to our younger pupils – and visiting primary school children – about his Crookhaven series, which is being adapted by the BBC for a new series.
Joel shared insights into his journey as a writer, the world of Crookhaven and what it means to see his stories come to life on screen. He got to go along to the filming and even secured himself a cameo role! We are looking forward to seeing the exciting new series that will be out in 2026.
Joel’s visit ended with a lively book signing, where students had the chance to meet the author and leave inspired to tell their own stories!
