About CH
Overview
- Admissions
We have listened carefully to feedback received since announcing the event’s move into Half Term, and while the need to change the format of Old Blues Day to meet new visitor arrangements is fully understood and supported, it is clear that for many seeing CH in full swing is fundamental to what makes Old Blues Day so special. Therefore, Old Blues Day 2026 will revert to Saturday 16th May, which is during term time.
Old Blues Day 2026 will include watching the whole school Band Parade as its centrepiece, followed by a garden party hosted by the Head and Treasurer in the Head’s garden, where Old Blues and their families can catch up at their leisure over drinks and a picnic lunch. A Chapel Service after the garden party will conclude the day. We hope that visitors will join us for the full programme and will understand that there will not be an opportunity to walk around the site unaccompanied. The timings will be as follows,
12:00 to 12:15 Old Blues and their families are welcomed at Reception and make their way to outside Dining Hall
12:30 Band Parade
13:00 to 14:30 Garden Party in the Head’s garden
14:30 Chapel Service
15:15 Depart
Bookings for Old Blues Day on 16th May 2026 are now open.
Booking in advance of the day is essential, and while places are limited by the size of the Head’s garden, we want to welcome as many Old Blues as possible. We have therefore set a subsidised ticket price of £8 per person for the event (free for 5s and under).
We look forward to seeing you at Old Blues Day.
