A group of five Deputy Grecian (Year 12) pupils attended the 2019 Raleigh Lecture, organised by the Guild of Entrepreneurs at Draper’s Hall in the City of London.

The afternoon began with a series of small group workshops in which the Christ’s Hospital pupils frequently took the lead in guiding discussions on the opportunities and threats presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This was followed by a stimulating lecture from Dr Ruben van Werven on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its impact upon Entrepreneurialism.

In the consequent Q&A, CH students challenged the panellists on virtual reality and the jobs most under threat from AI. CH pupils also seized the opportunity to network before and after the lecture, meeting a range of entrepreneurs and freemen, including a Texan private equity investor, a Dutch manufacturer and, of course, an Old Blue (former pupil.)
