CH now has a digital war memorial which can be viewed at www.chwarmemorial.org.uk. It covers the Boer War, WW1, WW2 and post 1945 wars and conflicts. The main focus so far has been on WW1 and as a result of much research, the names of nearly 50 Old Blues who died in WW1, but who are not on the Dining Hall war memorial, have been discovered and included on the digital war memorial. In addition, it also includes the names of Governors, teachers and members of the estate staff. Almost 200 individual photos of those who fell in WW1 are already on the memorial and the number continues to grow.
You will see copies of The Blue from the war years and other reference materials which will be added to over time as will more biographical details for the individual entries.
In addition there is a section which includes full details of the commemorative visits which have been made to over 400 WW1 graves and memorials in various parts of the world between 2014 and 2018, as well as a selection of photographs of some of the visits.
Comments are encouraged to email@example.com, particularly if you have information about or documents relating to any of the names recorded. If you consider that a name has not been included but should appear, please also let us know.
