Proud Moment for 350 years of CH History

Monday 06 November 2017

A proud moment as the sculpture is unveiled by Sir Alan Yarrow (former Lord Mayor and member of the School’s governing Council) today.

Sir Alan Yarrow said: “It is a great honour to unveil a sculpture that marks not only a significant period in the history of Christ’s Hospital, but also celebrates life-changing education for the children who have crossed its threshold both in the City and in West Sussex.”

The new public sculpture is located in the Christchurch Greyfriars Church Garden to commemorate CH’s 350 years presence in the City of London, 1552-1902.

London Live’s coverage of the unveiling and interviews with Andrew Brown, Simon Reid and Sir Alan Yarrow can be seen a few seconds into the film.
