Giving Tuesday 29th November 2022
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on Tuesday 29th November 2022, following the well-known shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s a day to celebrate the joys of giving, aimed to encourage people to help others through the gift of donations. This global day of giving is a chance for our entire CH community to come together, reflect on our experiences of CH and raise much needed funds to help make a difference to CH pupils.
What will funds be raised for on Giving Tuesday?
All funds raised on Giving Tuesday will support Christ’s Hospital’s Additional Costs Fund to support those pupils in exceptional financial need, helping to fund travel costs, house funds, school trips, sports uniform and other basic additional costs. When surging energy bills and cost of living, combined with benefit cuts, are delivering a severe squeeze on many of our pupils’ families, every gift to the Additional Costs Fund on Giving Tuesday will help these families who are facing financial pressure.
£25 could help cover a pupil’s travel costs at the beginning or end of term
£65 could provide a pupil with pocket money and House funds for a term
£250 could provide essential sports kit for a new pupil joining CH
