Susan Craig – 6s 46-53

Susan died on 6th November, aged 86.

Susan was in 6s at the school in Hertford from 1946 to 1953.  She was a house prefect.  On leaving school she did a secretarial course in Eastbourne.

She worked for many years in BP and in the NHS, always a very conscientious PA and secretary and very devoted to all those she worked for.  For her last 10 years she worked for the Royal College of Nursing, for the General Secretary and latterly for their  legal director.

On retirement she was a very devoted Old Blue.  A member of the CH Club, a Founders Day steward, and was involved in organising the annual Founders Day dinners as the Hon Sec of Stewards.  She was a Donation Governor and also sponsored a couple of pupils.

She was a keen member of the London Welsh Chorale and sang madrigals in Horsham.  She studied art history at Birkbeck College, and attended many lectures at the V & A.
