Art Caretaker/Technician (maternity cover)
Actual Salary Range £14,785 – £17,885 per annum
Temporary, maternity cover
We have a vacancy for a part time, temporary Art Caretaker with effect February 2021 for a period of up to one year to cover the current post holder’s maternity leave.
We require an experienced and enthusiastic individual to support arts teaching staff in all areas of educational delivery in the Art Department and provide first class administrative, logistical and janitorial support, including cleaning, to the Head of Art and the Department. During school holiday working the post holder will the deep clean the department.
The successful candidate will need previous experience of: working in an arts field in a school environment; operating and maintaining a Kiln room; dark room procedures and cleaning and caretaking. You will have an organised approach to work, and with an interest in art you will be able to carry out practical manual tasks, such as general painting tasks to support the Art Department staff. You will also be required to assist with the setting up, layout and tidying up for all activities within the department
This post requires full time working during the school term (33 weeks) with additional weeks either side of each term (plus 6 weeks), 35 hours per week Monday through Friday. An 8am start is required.
