We are now looking for a versatile artist or graduate to join our thriving Art Department in this one year fixed term post. The post would be ideal for a postgraduate, practicing artist with a range of creative skills, who has studied a degree within a relevant field as well as an interest in teaching. In addition they will undertake a range of duties that contribute to the wider running of the school, including exam invigilation, cover and house tutoring. Single-person accommodation with heating, lighting and meals while on duty will be provided. A large studio space and a £1,000 allowance for materials will be available. The resident will be paid an annual salary of £14,500.
A positive approach to learning, a caring and enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work in a team and a willingness to participate fully in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake at least one evening duty in a boarding house each week. This is an ideal post for an outstanding individual considering teaching as a profession in future. All meals during term-time when on duty are provided as part of the package and there is accommodation on site available. The salary will be paid across the whole contract.
