Based in Horsham, Christ’s Hospital is a unique co-educational boarding school and charitable Foundation, which provides first class education for up to 900 children from all backgrounds, supported by over 400 members of staff.
We are now looking for a versatile artist or graduate to join our thriving Art Department in this one year fixed term post. The post would suit a practising artist with a range of creative skills as well as an interest in teaching. Although experience of working with children would be preferable, it is not essential.
The resident will assist with the teaching of Art to all year groups and be expected to aid in all areas of running the department, giving workshops and talks, culminating the year with a solo exhibition. In addition they will undertake a range of duties that contribute to the wider running of the school, including exam invigilation, cover and house tutoring. Single-person accommodation with heating, lighting and meals while on duty will be provided. A large studio space and a £1,000 allowance for materials will be available. The resident will be paid an annual salary of £13,283.
