Applications are invited to join our busy Housekeeping team on a permanent basis and to start as soon as possible subject to pre-employment checks.

Subject to meeting operational needs we are able to consider a variety of working patterns and hours. Most of our current team start at 6:30am or 8:15am and a typical full-time role is 35 hours per week working 5 from 7 days including weekend work (around 8 to 10 times per year). Currently we can consider applications for more flexible working patterns including, part -time, school hours and term time working. Please indicate clearly in your application what hours and work pattern you are interested in working. Previous experience of cleaning in a residential school, commercial or school environment is helpful, although not essential. This is a very physical role. It requires working while standing, covering large distances and flights of stairs on foot. Work tasks require reasonable physical effort in bending, twisting, and in pulling and pushing cleaning equipment.

All posts are subject to a probationary period of six months.

Please note among other pre-employment checks, successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check. This is a check for cautions, warnings, reprimands and convictions (including spent convictions) and a search of the DBS Children’s Barred List which ensures that a candidate is not barred from working with vulnerable groups.
