Applications are invited to join our busy Housekeeping team on a permanent basis to start as soon as possible subject to pre-employment checks.
This is a full time, permanent post working: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, 5 from 7 days including regular weekend working on rotation.
Previous experience of cleaning and supervising in a residential school, commercial or school environment is highly desirable. You will be responsible, under the direction of the Deputy Housekeeping Manager, for all cleaning and housekeeping operations across the campus. You will provide leadership for the Housekeeping Team, deputising for the Senior Housekeeping Supervisor when required. Whist mainly supervisory, you will on occasions be required to engage in physical cleaning duties, this will require working while standing, covering large distances and flights of stairs on foot. Work tasks require reasonable physical effort in bending, twisting, and in pulling and pushing cleaning equipment. All posts are subject to a probationary period of six months.

Please note among other pre-employment checks, successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check. This is a check for cautions, warnings, reprimands and convictions (including spent convictions) and a search of the DBS Children’s Barred List which ensures that a candidate is not barred from working with vulnerable groups. If you have lived outside the UK you will also need to obtain a criminal record check for every country you have spent 3 months or more in during the last 10 years.
