Applications are invited to join our busy Housekeeping team on a permanent basis, to start as soon as possible subject to pre-employment checks. Previous experience of cleaning in a residential school, commercial or school environment is helpful, although not essential.

There are permanent vacancies on both our Public Areas and Boarding House teams. In Public Areas our teams work largely from 06:30am to 14:15pm with occasional 10:15 to 18:00 shifts.  The Boarding House teams work from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Both teams are required to work outside of these hours on occasion. Full time working is typically 35-40 hours per week. The working pattern for cleaning teams is 5 out of 7 days which includes regular weekend working.

Full time working is preferred though we are able to consider some applications for part-time and flexible working subject to scheduling. Please indicate clearly in your application what hours you are able to work.

All posts are subject to a probationary period of six months.

Benefits include 6.2 weeks holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) per annum (some to be taken at Christmas closedown), a stakeholder pension scheme for eligible staff, free on-site parking, free lunch when pupils on site and uniform. Although there is a local train station own transport would be beneficial.

Please note among other pre-employment checks, successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check. This is a check for cautions, warnings, reprimands and convictions (including spent convictions) and a search of the DBS Children’s Barred List which ensures that a candidate is not barred from working with vulnerable groups.
