Director of Drama
Following a strategic restructuring of Drama at Christ’s Hospital, we require a well-qualified, talented and inspirational Director of Drama to focus on the School’s productions. This post would suit someone with the vision, enthusiasm and managerial skills needed to manage one of the country’s leading independent school drama departments. Previous teaching experience is not necessary, and we welcome applicants from industry. The start date would be either September 2022 or January 2023.
Christ’s Hospital is unique. We are strikingly unlike any other independent school in the UK, with a richly diverse pupil body, in terms of ethnicity and socio-economic background. More than 75% of our pupils are on some form of financial support, with a considerable number receiving full bursaries. We are looking for a Director of Drama who will also and understand our pupils’ backgrounds, needs and concerns.

Salary is commensurate with experience and paid in accordance with the generous Christs’ Hospital Teachers’ Salary scale, which is dependent on experience.
