Director of Hockey
Applications are invited for the post of Director of Hockey with effect from 1st September, 2021. This is an exciting opportunity providing the successful applicant with an opportunity to formulate and implement a vision for the game of hockey in a large co-educational school with superb facilities. Two floodlit parallel Astroturf pitches at the centre of the site reflect the school’s ambitions for the sport in its curriculum.
The successful candidate will be in sympathy with the idea that sport provides a unique and healthy opportunity to deliver lessons for life as a key part of a good education. The ability and desire to inspire and inculcate a love of the game in girls and boys of all ages is essential. A background in National League hockey and/or a proven track record of coaching to a high level within schools is desirable. In addition to running the Hockey programme, the successful candidate will be required to teach one or more academic subjects on offer at CH.
Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential and accommodation on site may be available.
