Director of Operations

Christ’s Hospital has an excellent opportunity in a key leadership role of Director of Operations.  Our support services sit at the heart of Christ’s Hospital and are vital to its success. We are also looking to further increase our commercial activities – largely outside term-time – and this role will plan and oversee this growth.

You will be responsible for many aspects of the support operations of the school, including line management of the main departments of Support Services and commercial functions.  Ours is a busy, complex, heritage site and you will oversee all aspects of estates and facilities management to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

You will have previous extensive experience in a similar role in estates/facilities/logistics management. You will have experience of managing large teams and be able to develop good relations with the staff, pupils and wider school community. You will be confident in managing budgets, with the ability to work within tight financial constraints and have excellent attention to detail, with strong numeracy verbal and written communication skills as well as strong business acumen.
