Head of Food and Nutrition (maternity cover)
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Christ’s Hospital for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Food & Nutrition to cover a period of maternity leave for the current Head of Department. This opportunity starts in January / February 2020 and will be for up to one year. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team and teach the subject from years 7-11. All pupils study Food and Nutrition in year 7 and it is optional in year 9. Students who choose Food and Nutrition as an IGCSE option study it from years 10 – 11. We also offer cookery as part of the broader curriculum programme up to year 13. The Head of Department will maintain a high standard of teaching, learning and enrichment for the pupils in a new purpose-built department at the centre of the school. The positive promotion of the importance of Food and Nutrition among the pupils and in the school is a priority.
Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential and accommodation on site will be available.
