Christ’s Hospital has pioneered social mobility and challenged social inequality to provide an unrivalled start in life for disadvantaged children for nearly five centuries. As economic and social inequality continue to grow in the UK, Christ’s Hospital’s mission is ever more relevant.

Due to the retirement of the current post holder we require a well-qualified, skilled Head of Physics for September 2021. This post offers the opportunity to lead a thriving, well-resourced department and would suit a practitioner with strong leadership, organisational and managerial skills.  Physics is taught to IGCSE (Edexcel) and A level (AQA) at Christ’s Hospital.

Full participation in the broader life of this busy charitable boarding school is expected and accommodation on site may be available.

We welcome applications from all sectors of the community as we aspire to attract staff that match the social and cultural diversity of our student intake. We consider the most important factor to be the right skills, abilities and attitude for the job which will ultimately improve the well-being and education of the pupils. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Further information about the role, including the remuneration package can be downloaded from our website; please visit https://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/vacancies/teaching/  where you will find full details of the role.
