An opportunity has opened for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Mathematics for September 2024 to lead our Royal Mathematical School.  Christ’s Hospital offers its staff an extraordinary chance to be part of an educational culture which is time-tested, modern and always evolving.

The successful candidate must be able to work well within a team and ideally have previous experience of managing or leading others.  They will be required to teach Mathematics to A level.  The ability to teach Further Mathematics and to be passionate about the role that new technologies and data can play in supporting learning would be an advantage.

Applicants should evidence in the personal statement how they meet the requirements of the role and person specification. Salary is commensurate with experience and paid in accordance with the Christs’ Hospital Teachers’ Salary scale up to £46,324 per annum as well as an allowance for being a Head of Department of £13,726. Suitable timetable remission is given for the full and proper performance of the role.  Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential and accommodation on site may be provided.
