Healthcare Assistant
Based in Horsham, Christ’s Hospital is a unique co-educational boarding school and charitable Foundation which provides first class education to around 900 children from all backgrounds, supported by over 400 members of staff.
30-35 hours per week, Term Time only (35 weeks per year). Bank hours also available, please state availability in your application.
£11,338-£13,090 per annum (based on a full time equivalent of £18,544-£19,500 per annum) depending on qualifications and experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Healthcare Assistant to join our fantastic Medical Centre team as soon as possible.
Playing a key role in the School Health Centre, you will be expected to assist with the provision of a professional and caring nursing service for all members of the School. You will help to provide a first class service to the clients of the Health Centre, maintaining the highest possible standards of care. You will assist with the care and observation of students requiring admission to the Health Centre, including those with suspected COVID-19, as required. Hours will mainly be 5 days per week, worked 8am-3pm Monday to Saturday however at times you may also be required to cover other shifts which will include some evenings and Sundays during term time for which time in lieu will be given.
You should be able to cope with periodic peaks in workload, stay calm under pressure and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Successful applicants will have experience in health care and a Skills for Healthcare certificate or NVQ level 3 qualification in Health or Health and Social care would be an advantage.
