Housekeeping Team – Cleaners

£9.00 per hour
Applications are invited to join our busy Housekeeping team on a full time or part time basis, with an anticipated start date in August 2020. We have both permanent and temporary posts on offer. Previous experience of cleaning in a residential school, commercial or school environment is helpful, although not essential.
We have a variety of vacancies in the Housekeeping team:
- Boarding House Team full time staff work mainly from 08:15 to 16:00.
- Public Areas/ Touch Point Team full time staff work mainly 06:30 to 14:15 with occasional 10:15 to 18:00 shifts
All teams are required to work outside of these hours on occasion. Full time working is typically 35-40 hours per week. The working pattern for all teams is 5 out of 7 days which includes regular weekend working.
As well as having both temporary and permanent vacancies on offer, we are able to consider applications for part-time and flexible working. Please indicate clearly in your application what hours you are able to work and if there is any particular post that you are interested in.
All posts are subject to a probationary period of six months.
Benefits include 6.2 weeks holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) per annum (some to be taken at Christmas closedown), a stakeholder pension scheme for eligible staff, free on-site parking, free lunch when pupils on site and uniform. Although there is a local train station own transport would be beneficial.
Please note among other pre-employment checks, successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check. This is a check for cautions, warnings, reprimands and convictions (including spent convictions) and a search of the DBS Children’s Barred List which ensures that a candidate is not barred from working with vulnerable groups.
