Music School – Temporary Cleaners

£9.00 per hour

Applications are invited to join our busy Housekeeping team on a temporary, term time and part time basis, to start as soon as possible subject to pre-employment checks. We currently expect these posts to be until December but subject to review. Previous experience of cleaning in a residential school, commercial or school environment is helpful, although not essential.

These temporary vacancies are largely based in our Music School working 12 hours per week in term time from 5pm to 7pm Monday to Friday, and again on Sunday. Team members are required to work outside of these hours on occasion.

Work will include cleaning all areas of the Music School including practice rooms, teaching rooms, kitchen/rest areas etc.

This team is brought together as a result of the temporary additional cleaning requirements we have identified arising from COVID-19.

All posts are subject to a probationary period of six months.

Benefits include 6.2 weeks holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) per annum (some to be taken at Christmas closedown), a stakeholder pension scheme for eligible staff, free on-site parking, and uniform. Although there is a local train station own transport would be beneficial.

Please note among other pre-employment checks, successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check. This is a check for cautions, warnings, reprimands and convictions (including spent convictions) and a search of the DBS Children’s Barred List which ensures that a candidate is not barred from working with vulnerable groups.
