Matron Manager
Christ’s Hospital is a full boarding school with eighteen boarding houses and operates a seven-day a week programme. This exciting new strategic role focuses upon both managing and moving the Matron’s department forward into the next decade. While the job role is for term time , Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm), the successful candidate will be expected to work at home from time-to-time outside of these hours. Managing and supporting a team of Matrons will be the primary responsibility, alongside providing the key link between the Matron department and the Senior Leadership Team.
The Matron Manager will lead the Matron department, guiding and support staff where appropriate; liaise regularly with the Assistant Head (Pastoral) and the Senior Matrons. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a boarding school environment and ideally, previous experience of managing or leading a team. They will have sensitivity to the needs of young people, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this important role. The post operates mainly in term time (33 weeks per year) although you will also be required to work up to 3 additional days before the start and after the end of each term.

Annual leave must be taken during school holidays only.
