We have a vacancy for a Matrons Assistant to work in one of our boarding houses for 16 hours per week worked on Tuesdays – Fridays 9am – 1pm during term time.
The successful candidate will join a team headed by two resident Houseparents, House Tutors, Resident Matrons and Matrons Assistants to help look after approximately 90 pupils within the boarding house. Duties include the sorting, checking and repairing of pupils’ clothes and laundry; assisting the on-duty Matron with pastoral care duties and administering medication under supervision (for which training will be provided).
Sensitivity, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this role, as is being able to use a sewing machine.
