We have vacancies for Matrons’ Assistants to work in several of our boarding houses. A usual working day is between 9am and 1pm*, and candidates should be able to work an ideal of 3-5 weekday days, during term time. The hourly rate for this post is £9.50 per hour.

The successful candidates will join a team headed by two resident House Parents, House Tutors, Resident Matrons and existing Matrons’ Assistants to help look after approximately 90 pupils within the boarding house.  Duties include the sorting, checking and repairing of pupils’ clothes and laundry; assisting the on-duty Matron with pastoral care duties and administering medication under supervision (for which training will be provided).

Sensitivity, good organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to work with others are essential to carry out this role, as is being able to use a sewing machine.
