Mini Bus Driver

We are seeking part- time minibus driver’s to work as part of our transport team, working our morning and afternoons bus routes.

Monday to Friday 06:00am-08:00am

Monday-Friday 18:20pm-20:20 pm (during term time)

Candidates can be considered for one or both runs

We are seeking part- time minibus driver’s to work as part of our transport team, working our morning and afternoons bus routes.

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students to and from designated collection and drop off points, to and from the school.

They will be responsible for the appearance and upkeep of the vehicle and checks on a daily basis.

Other duties include airport runs for students at the beginning and end of terms.

You may also be required for additional driving duties for events, sports fixtures and trips.

Previous experience of working with children is preferred. The successful applicant will be patient and supportive with our students, able to manage their time, and will need to be reliable and trustworthy, as well as working flexibly with others on the team.

A clear, current driving licence is required to be maintained at all times, as is annual medical clearance for occupational driving. School Minibuses will be used, and applicants should have held a UK driving licence for 2 years and also hold Category D1 or Category PCV to meet the requirements, of our insurance policy.

If offered the role you will be required to successfully complete an interactive Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) e-learning course, which you can work through.

Once you have completed your online theory, there will be a practical part of the course at an agreed date/time. This will last up to 90 minutes and you will be assessed to the nationally recognised MiDAS driving standard.
