Qualified Nursery Assistant

Required September/ October to work State Term Time only

We require a qualified (minimum level 2, ideally achieved or working towards level 3) Nursery Assistant to join a small, friendly team in our on site Pre-school, ‘Bluecoats Nursery’.

The post is during state term time only with possibility of some work during school holidays. The position will include duties to be undertaken within the Nursery. The work includes welcoming children on their arrival, teaching children from 2.5 – 5 years, assisting with the planning of the curriculum, liaising with parents and carers.

The successful candidate will work an average of 16 hours per week across four days with the children plus additional (paid) hours for termly staff meetings, parents’ evenings and planning meetings.

Flexibility, good communication skills and the confidence to work with children are essential.
