Purchasing & Stock Co-Ordinator (Building Maintenance)
We are looking for a Purchasing and Stock Co-ordinator to be responsible for overseeing the management of the Building Maintenance Department's central stores.

Salary £25,396.80 FTE as of 1st April 2025
Christ’s Hospital School is situated in 1,200 acres of Sussex countryside, with an extensive and diverse range of building and facilities. Our Building Maintenance Department manages both the school and residential buildings, most dating back to the early 1900s.
We are looking for a Purchasing & Stock Co-ordinator to be responsible for overseeing the management of the Building Maintenance Department’s central stores. You will play a vital role within the team of 16 employees, helping to keep this historic and busy site functioning for those who live, work and are educated here. Along with the responsibility for stockholding and the purchasing and issuing of stock, the role involves negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value and assisting the Buildings Maintenance Manager with day-to-day operation of the workshop, including relevant H&S requirements.
Previous experience of working within a warehouse/stores environment is desirable for the role, as is working with stock control systems. You must be IT-literate, be numerate and have good communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also need to be flexible, motivated and be confident using your own initiative.
