Bank School Nurse

Salary based on Band 6 AfC (£18.57/hour)

We require Registered Nurses to join a small, friendly team of school nurses, housekeepers and administrative staff. Our school Medical Centre is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days a week during term time and generally staff work a mixture of day and night shifts.  Bank shifts may be allocated in advance to cover planned absence or a short notice to cover rota gaps.

The successful candidates will work various shifts as required (including nights and weekends) to ensure the Medical Centre is appropriately staffed.  Work includes caring for pupils in our in-patient unit, taking daily surgeries and being available to give health advice to the pupils.

Flexibility, good communication skills and the confidence to work unsupervised are essential.  Applicants must be able to evidence their RGN qualification (adult and/or child) and current NMC registration.
