School Nurse
21 hours a week – 35 weeks per year
Actual salary based on Band 6 AFC c. £15,277 including holiday pay (FTE c. £40,530)
We require a Registered Nurse to join a small, friendly team of school nurses, housekeepers and administrative staff in September 2023.
The successful candidate will work a part-time shift pattern of up to 21 hours per week term time (33 weeks per year plus 2 weeks CPD). There is some flexibility with the hours and for the right person we can consider arrangements such as 3 days working 7.30AM to 3PM or 3 days working 9AM – 3PM. Some Saturdays may need to be worked. Work includes caring for pupils in our in-patient unit, taking daily surgeries and being available to give health advice to the pupils. Good communication skills and the confidence to work unsupervised are essential. Applicants must be able to evidence their RGN qualification and current NMC Registration. RN Child is desirable.
