Student Welfare Officer (full time, term time)
Permanent 40 hours per week across 5 days a week for (33 weeks per year). FTE salary c. £30,000 per annum (actual salary c, £22,000 per annum)
Reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead you will be expected to provide support in all areas of day-to-day welfare and support for vulnerable students; liaising with parents, external agencies and services.
We are looking for a person who cares about young people and can demonstrate discretion and confidentiality whilst adhering to professional boundaries.
You should be able to stay calm under pressure. You must be a competent administrator with a keen eye for detail and first-class organisational skills.
Experience of working in a pastoral context with young people is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a level 3 Child Protection course before taking up the role.
