Teacher of Science (Chemistry and/or Biology)

We have a vacancy for a full-time teacher of Science (Chemistry and / or Biology) with effect from September 2023.

This post offers the opportunity to teach your subject at all levels throughout the school. The ability to teach a second science to GCSE and / or experience of teaching EPQ would be an advantage.  As an independent school, a PGCE is not necessary for teaching at Christ’s Hospital and we would consider recent graduates who are interested in the profession.

The successful applicant will be a well-qualified and capable graduate with an enthusiasm for the teaching of Chemistry and / or Biology in a large co-educational boarding school.  Innovation, flair and vision will be highly valued, as will the ability to inspire pupils both in and out of the classroom.

Salary is commensurate with experience and paid in accordance with the Christs’ Hospital Teachers’ Salary scale ranging from £28,281 to £43,701.  Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential and accommodation on site may be available.
