Visiting Music Teacher of Drum Kit and Percussion

Christ’s Hospital wishes to appoint a Visiting Music Teacher of Drum Kit and Percussion to start as soon as possible to teach around 11 pupils per week, ideally completed in one day on the same day every week.

The position would suit a well-qualified and capable percussion teacher who has an enthusiasm for teaching music within the framework of a large co-educational boarding school.

The role is part time with days and hours of teaching duties to be agreed with the Head of Keyboard.  Christ’s Hospital has its own five-tier system of payment to VMTs which closely resembles the ISM/MMA/MU recommended rates and ranges from £30.29 – £37.41 per hour. Any ensemble direction will be paid at one rate above the normal rate the holder is paid for individual tuition. Travel expenses are paid up to a maximum of £23.46 per visit.
