Christ’s Hospital wishes to appoint a Visiting Music Teacher of Violin to start as soon as possible in the Autumn (Michaelmas) 2021 term on a fixed term contract until July 2022 to teach around 8 pupils per week.

The position would suit a well-qualified and capable violin specialist who has an enthusiasm for teaching music within the framework of a large co-educational boarding school.

The role is part time with days and hours of teaching duties to be agreed with the Head of Strings.  Christ’s Hospital has its own five-tier system of payment to VMTs which closely resembles the ISM/MMA/MU recommended rates and ranges from £26.33 – £34.08 per hour. Any ensemble direction will be paid at one rate above the normal rate the holder is paid for individual tuition. Travel expenses are paid up to a maximum of £23.46 per visit.
